Joshalyn and Hyrum are excited to be back to school after a fun filled summer.

Joshalyn is in 4th grade this year and Hyrum in 1st grade.

More Summer Fun in August

CAMPING AT ALDER LAKE

We had a fun time camping at Alder lake with Mom and Rich and other family and friends. Good Times!

GARDENING WITH GRAMA

The kids loved helping Grandma in the garden. They all picked a bag full and we had a yummy dinner. Nothing beats fresh veggies out of the garden.

SEATTLE

A day in Seattle is always fun. We go to Pike's Place Market and watch the Seattle Mariners play. It's always good company and a good time.

AMES REUNION AT CAMP NISQUALLY

We had a great time reuniting with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, second cousins, etc. It was just alot of fun those 3 days. It all went by too quickly.

WESTERN IDAHO FAIR

Summer Fun

4TH OF JULY

We had an eventful 4th of July out at some friends of ours in Payette. Hyrum had bamboo from a sparkler drop on his foot as you can see in the picture. We almost found ourselves in the emergency room. Luckily we all acted fast and got cold water and ice on it then some mela gel(burn cream) and it healed fine. He may or may not have a scar. Time will tell. We are truly blessed as well as he.
COUSIN TIME!

Julie and Ryan came for a visit to Boise from Minnesota. The kids had fun reuniting again. Two days wasn't long enough, but we'll take what we can get. Thanks McPherson's!

RIVER RAFTING

We had a fun time River Rafting down the Boise River with my family in July. Thanks Baldwins, Herzogs, and Nelsons for a great time!

AT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA HERZOG'S

We had a fun week with Grandma and Grandpa Herzog in Las Vegas playing chess, playing cards, golfing and of course swimming in their pool. Can't wait to go again!

Here's the vacuum Kayla........

No this is not child labor. It went something like this.....

Kayla: Mommy you need to vacuum the floor
Mommy: Oh I do Kayla?
Kayla: Mommy it's dirty you need to vacuum it.
Mommy: Here's the vacuum Kayla.
She actually enjoyed helping. I think she found herself a new chore.
On this note Joshalyn told me the other day that she was bored so I started naming several things that she could do some of which were chores, but not all.(I think she decided she wasn't bored anymore, because I haven't heard her say that since)
The joys of being the parent............and maybe the child. I guess you'll have to ask my kids about that. They're so darn cute I can't help but love them and the things they say and most of all their perception on things.

Are you game?

Please don't quit your day job...........Just teasin'! Josh did a great job umpiring this year for Joshalyn's softball team. I think he enjoyed it too. He probably would have liked it better if I wouldn't have given him such a hard time. He knows I just like to tease him. He was awesome and very much appreciated!! I am proud of he and the kids. It was a fun season! Go Hyrum!!! Go Joshalyn!!! Go Ump!!!

Throw it! Hit it!

Voila!..........Grass!

Voila! we have grass. One minute we were raking dirt, the next minute we were watering grass. Well.........it wasn't quite like that, but we do have grass and are happy to have it. Thanks to Rich and Travis and a good friend Ken Wood for helping Josh out over memorial day weekend. We couldn't have done it without them. I suppose that will be the last time Rich and Travis come to visit................. I'm just kidding. They said they didn't mind, but we did work them hard. Hopefully the good food and company was a bit of compensation. It's amazing how nice it makes the front of our yard look. We have had so many compliments from our neighbors. I know they were thinking.... "it's about time." Little by little it is coming. Now to the plants and flowers.

Singin' in the Rain

I guess we're walkin' in the rain not singin' in the rain, but it was fun and I thought it was so cute with the kids and their umbrella's. And yes we are in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Good thing I carry the camera with me. You never know when you're going to capture a cute moment.
